About the Project
The specialists at Smartic carried out a complete automation service for a 170 m² private house. The project included full home automation, integration of a voice assistant (Yandex’s Alice), and the implementation of an automated irrigation system. Thanks to our system, the residents can now easily control lighting, temperature, curtains, security systems, and garden irrigation through voice commands or a single app.
Client’s Key Requirements
The client had a 170 m² private house, where it was important to ensure a high level of security and smart energy efficiency, as well as to make the existing home devices controllable from a single system and manageable from one place.
Our Approach and Solution
In this private house, we created a centralized control system that allows managing all components of the home (lighting, curtains, heating, security, etc.) through a single application. This solution provides complete convenience, as the residents no longer spend time switching between different devices and systems.
Lighting Scenarios and Dynamic Control
Smart lights were installed, allowing the adjustment of light intensity and color. Several scenarios were developed (for example, "Morning Wake-up," "Gaming Mode," "Dinner," "Movie Watching," etc.), which regulate the brightness and color of the lights.
All of this was integrated with Alice, so residents can simply say, for instance, "Alice, turn on the movie watching mode," and the house will automatically switch to the corresponding lighting.
Automated Curtain Control
We installed smart curtains that can be controlled both via the app and by voice commands. When the command "Alice, open the curtains" is given, the system automatically opens the curtains.
The opening and closing of the curtains have also been programmed according to a schedule and the level of sunlight.
Automated Temperature and Air Quality Control
Temperature and humidity sensors were installed, connected to the heating (or cooling) system.
The system intelligently analyzes the current conditions and automatically adjusts ventilation and heating, ensuring a stable temperature and clean air.
It is possible to adjust the temperature via voice commands (for example, "Alice, lower the temperature by two degrees").
Comprehensive Security System
Cameras and motion sensors were installed, all connected to a single monitoring center.
In case of a security breach (unauthorized movement, window/door opening), the system not only triggers the usual alarm but also sends a notification to the phone number.
Unlike motion sensors, the presence sensors do not detect movement but specifically detect human presence and do not activate in response to pets or other movements.
The system's data can be viewed and checked remotely.
Automated Irrigation System
The modern irrigation system calculates soil moisture, weather forecasts, and temperature.
Water flow is automatically regulated to avoid excessive consumption and overwatering of plants.
The Result
Residents can now control all the main functions of the house through touch panels, the app, or voice commands.
The implementation of automated lighting, curtains, temperature, and security systems has significantly increased the home's energy efficiency and usability.
The automated irrigation system saves water and time, while the garden remains consistently well-maintained.
